Japan recession won’t affect hiring of nurses

MANILA, Philippines – Despite experiencing its “worst economic crisis,” Japan is still hiring Filipino nurses and caregivers.

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) allayed fears yesterday about the cancellation of the planned hiring by Japan of Filipino nurses and caregivers.

“We don’t see such a scenario happening because it’s the Japanese employers who keep on telling us to follow the timeline of the deployment process,” POEA chief Jennifer Manalili said. continue reading here.

Pinoy nurses may apply for nursing jobs in Japan online – POEA

Filipino nurses and caregivers aspiring to work in Japan may now register online.

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration said Friday “applicants need not go to the POEA office because they can already register at www.eregister.poea.gov.ph.”

POEA chief Jennifer Manalili said applicants should wait for POEA e-mail for further instructions and only those who meet the minimum qualification shall receive the notification through e-mail. continue reading here.

Japan to hire 1,000 nurses, caregivers in the next 2 years

Japan will hire at least 1,000 nurses and caregivers in the next two years, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) reported yesterday.

POEA chief Jennifer Manalili said representatives of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Japan International Corp. of Welfare Services (JICWELS) has forged an agreement on the deployment of Filipino nurses and caregivers to Japan. continue reading here.

RP to start deployment of nurses to Japan soon

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reported yesterday that the deployment of Filipino nurses to Japan would finally start early next year.

“We hope to come out with the necessary guidelines on the hiring of our nurses middle of January and the actual deployment will start probably by April,” Labor Secretary Marianito Roque said. continue reading here.
