Hi po, I tried to file for MLE last Nov 2011 but sa Municipal Health Officer pa lang declined na. Ayaw pirmahan yung cases ko. So I want to try again but in a Hospital naman para mas valid. Kahit primary lang, saang hospital po kaya pumapayag na kumuha ng Delivery cases here in Metro Manila? Thanks po.
Hi! Any hospital here in Metro Manila that allow us na kumuha na DR cases from them? Thank you in advance
Government lying-in ba yan ate?
is it true that the signatories for the suturing nd IV cases need to be trained for suturing nd iV themselves.,.,yon ang sabi nila..my goodness..balik cases na nmn ako nito
hello, im also a nurse, na nagtry ng luck for the MLE filed a regional prc and ilang beses din ako pabalik balik dahil sa mukhang pinahihirapan nila ang mga nurses in filing for board. i was even sked for interview kaso when i got there wala naman pala at pinaprocess nalang sa akin ang application ko. it took me 5 times bago ako naka file. and then need pa daw ng approbal ng board of mid. 4 days before the exam i called prc regarding my approval, sabi rejected daw. i ask why coz comeplete naman ang requirements ko. wala silang masabing concrete na dahilan. im frustrated sa time and effort na binigay ko tapos wala naman pala.
Hi.. we are planning to take the MLE this november.. Do you know any hospitals here in manila where we could get cases? aside from fabella please… thank you
hi im im ericka im planning to take the MLE ilan po bang casses ang nid at san po ako mamakuha ng patern ng casess naten tnx po
Good day Ma’am, ask q lng po bakit my prc nmn sa baguio pero ayaw pa din nila na mag submit kami dun ng requirements for midwifery exam.need pa daw po n punta aq sa manila para mag file. And iinterviewhn pa daw pag Rn na taz mag midwife.is it right?
pwede lying-in basta daw philhealth accredited tsaka may training certs ung midwife.
Thank you. L. Gudgeon
Pwede pa rin, kailangan mo lang mag-enroll sa isang recognized school of midwifery to complete the requirements(20H,5S, & 5 IVs)It takes around 1 semester only.you can inquire here at Iloilo Doctors’ College School of Midwifery. Here’s our Tel. No. (033) 337-6991
hi..I’m an RN and I’ve just passed the requirements here in PRC manila for the midwifery boards, sabi my papers would be “for approval” daw. 1 week has passed pero I haven’t heard from them yet, has anyone had the same experience?
same here…yesterday i just passed the requirements here in prc manila but unfortunately they told me that my papers is for approval..i want to ask you if they texted u already…i need your repy asap
I had the same experience with u kay.. i had my papers filed and was told to wait for the approval. the friend of my friend had that experienced too, (about a year ago), a week or days before the exam she received a call telling her she can take the exam then. don’t worry you are not alone.. mas worst pa nga sa akin kasi ng inquire aq regarding sa 5 IV insertion cases, ang sabi nong staff don sa PRC, ok na daw e attach ang photocopy nong IV License.. here i come, nka file after sa pabalik balik na pghingi nila ng reqts na hindi nman klaro, in God’s grace nka file pero pina pili aq kng e pursue ang papers ko o hindi kasi nga walang IV cases. wala akong choice kundi mgbaka sakali na tanggapin ng BOM. hindi ko rin naman kasalanan na walang cases na kinuha kasin nga ang sabi “e attach lang ang photocopy nong IV License”. so harsh!!!
Hirap po pala magcomply ng mga requirements. Anung area nyo po? Sa Manila kasi may interview pa daw. Sa province wala ata.
Gud pm po,does RN can still take the board exam for midwifery this coming 2013?thank you po
Hi!
I am also a Nurse, I am planning to take the MLE next year. I want to clarify things. Is it OK to get your cases from a registered lying-in?
The Staff told me that i need to verify to the BOM if it’s ok to have the cases from a Lying-In that was not Philhealth Accredited.
But the Midwife who runs the Lying-In works at the RHU.
Do you see anything wrong about this?
Thanks for the reply
Godbless
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!
Actually i passed the requirements last year for the midwifery board exams last nov. 2012 here in PRC Manila, I am nurse and I want to be an RM. I would just like to tell you what happened last year and tell me if the BOM are still giving justice to the nurses. I am quite sure that I completed the requirements because the woman from PRC accepted it, but she said my papers were for approval, and she just told me that she will contact me so I just have to leave it with her. 2 weeks have passed and I haven’t received a notice coming from them so I went to PRC Manila. The woman from the counter asked me to get my papers because it was declined daw. I had my case forms with written corrections, and when I asked the woman from PRC what it meas she said “Hindi ko alm kasi hindi ako midwife, itong papel sulat mo yung corrections mo kasi bawal na ulit kunin to, pwede mo lang gamitin ulit ito pag nag-reapply ka”. She also said that the members of the BOM won’t conduct an interview this time, they would just check the papers. Furthermore the members would just go and check the papers, it would be very hard to see them and ask them about your corrections. And I think this is very unfair, you see, they would tell you nurses are qualified to take the midwifery board exams given they complete the requirements. I am sure that I followed the guidelines that they set and I completed it. You even need to get your papers notarized and then what? They would return it to you with several circles and tell you that you can re-apply next year. So my advice for my dear nurses is that don’t take the board exams yet while these people are still members of the board. Antayin nyong magpalit ng members ang BOM because you would just be wasting your effort and money kasi I am quite sure that they would do the same thing to you. Last year, if I’m not mistaken they only allowed 3 nurses to take the midwifery boards in PRC Manila, that’s what I heard from that woman in PRC. Good luck nurses. Kaya natin to. God bless.
Good evening po! May I ask kung ano na po ang mga requirements ng BOM for nurses who wants to take the BOM exam? Thank you!
Kasi if they just clarified the requirements I doubt they would decline all of us applicants here in PRC Manila because were quite sure that we’ve accomplished it, kasi bakit pa tinanggap yung requirements namin kung di kumpleto diba? Magulo padin sila hanggang ngayon.
Aww.. ganun po ba sir? Plan ko pa naman magtake this Nov. Kasi alanganin na ako sa April. When po ba magpalit ng BOM? Thanks!
Actually ako din nag apply mga early 2012 ata or late 2011.. madami ang pumipila and so far lahat narreject sa interview. As far from ilocos na nagwowork na sa birthing station tinaggigan pa mag exam. meron pa from bacolod na nagpunta pa ng cebu prc and pinapunta sa manila.hahanapan talga ng butas sa interview about your cases, sa pagsagot daw be consistent kasi tricky magtanung about sa episiotomy. un iba nga nareresked pa uli for another interview tapos hindi din pumpasa. sbi din dti ng nakasabay ko na ilang ulit na nag apply na meron nga daw dati na halos 50 ata sila ng aapply nun, half day pa lang natapos lahat ng ininterview walang pumasa.. strict talaga ang board ng midwifery para hindi dumami midwife na nurse, pansinin nio dati ang topnotcher pa ng midwifery exam are nurses. kapag tinanong ka ba bakit mo gusto maging midwife pa e nurse ka, ano issagot niyo?
Halo….Mam,I am registered Nurse since 2010, I am planning to take midwifery exam but i heard that Nurses can no longer take the board exam for Midwife if they are not a graduate of Midwifery, is it true?….Please reply…thank u so much

Hi EndieLee! salamat sa info! So kailangan po RN-RM ang magassist at naka sign sa IV therapy? or kahit RN lang? Naisip ko lang po na, we have IV therapy license and we still need assistance. Salamat po!
im a RN and wanted to be RM ive passed my NLE last 2009,, so I try my luck na mag pasa sa PRC. ang tagal kong kinumpleto ang mga requirements, then nung alam ko na ok na pumunta ako sa PRC kahapon, pinag pasa ako ng passport size id sa window 8 then pinapasok ako sa loob para kausapin si maam EDEN,kinuha nia ang mga requirements ko then kulang daw ng certificate of training ng nag supervise sakin sabi ko to follow ko bukas at pumayag naman sya.. then may inabot syang papel sakin na may nakasulat na number nia at txt me your surname, given name (RN-RM)at ititext nalang daw nia ako so pwede na daw ako umuwi.. then ngayun nag punta ako sa prc dala ang mga certificate ng supervisors ko pero bad news na decline na agad ang papel ko at may nakalagay pang comment na “submit trainings of midwives on RA7392, review RA7392.” nakaka inis lang kaya nga ako bumalik ng PRC ngayun para dalhin ung mga certificate eh,, sana hindi nia kinuha ung papel ko na alam pala niang kulang.. at sabi nia pa better luck next time apply nalang daw ako ulit.. sayang panahon at pagod ko..
for what yung interview sa BOM after ma pass lahat ng requirements?thanks maam.
