when will be the annual convention of the NLPGN? how much is the registration fee and what are the topics to be discussed?thank you

nlpgn national convention will be on jan 27. 2011 at Cebu Business Center Hotel.

is there anyway that the association could help a nurse working in the local government n feel she was demoted and on floating status without due process?
the story is, the brgy captain of the smallest brgy in our community requested a one experienced health personnel in our office.
and i was chosen by our mayor to be sent on the said barangay. i was taken from one of the RHU (we have 3 RHU’s..RHU 1 30, 000 population, 6 barangays with 2 nurses supervising 9 midwives,; RHU 2, where i came from is serving 40,794 population with 7 barangays supervising 12 midwives and RHU 3, 36,000 population with 5 barangay with 2 nurses supervising 9 midwives and the RHU where the place i was transferred)) i live 25 kilometers away from the said barangay.
My RHP dont want me to there coz according to her n rhu staff and our patients in my previous area that iam a big help to our community.
the problem is, my husband who happens to be a councilor in our municipality expresses his intention of good governance and transparency to our LGU system..n the problem starts there.
the mayor intentionally assigned me on that place to make even to my husband.i used to assist 30-40 patients per day and now sumasakit ang hemmorrhoids ko coz i only have one-5 patients per day..and i cannot even guarantee my life here since the barangay captain is an ally of the mayor.from supervisor, my job now is more on the function of the midwife. mayor requested me coz there is an urgency daw sa barangay, but i already having my two weeks duty here n wala po akong makita na urgent medicall needs or epidemics.their top ten leading cause of morbidity (2010)is more on viral illnesses only and cases of mortality is only and died due to accident/injury related cases. the said health center.
the BHs was even chosen as the best BHS of their unit coz according to the RHP, maganda ang performance ng midwife(kaya sya ang nanalong model employee ng unit nila)
Wala ba akong justice at ipaglaban na para po bang isangkot ako ng mayor sa alitan nila ng asawa ko eh nagwowork naman po ako,, you may ask my performance to the following person kung pano po ako magtrabaho.(dra theresa urriquia, dra rosalie Hidalgo, dr sonny rueda, dra mancao, dr ernie nepomuceno,josie galo,rey pereyra, irma yarasElizabeth gregory(all with sites in FB).san ho ako pueding lumapit?hope u can help me po..tumataas na po BP ko and having frequent attack of asthma coz of napakaalikabok po sa area namin. i cannot ask help from my municipal health officer, like the brgy captain , he is also an ally of our mayor..which is dapat non-partisan sya
with this undue process of this abusive public officials… my suggestion is you better write a letter of intent about your situation. after airing your grievance and you seems still unwarranted to you. you may proceed to ombudsman-the public assistance bureau. they will assist with this kind of problem and this could be resolve.

Regarding the uniforms used in government hospitals: i would like to know if there’s a policy or guideline followed or implemented by the national league of government nurses that the prescribed duty uniform to be used should only be white? and that scrub suits are not allowed to be worn in special areas such as ER, DR as duty uniforms? please help anyone… thank you
just my opinion with your query… i think this is discretionary to the management of any hospitals… unless, your department or area requested for the kind of uniform you want to wear. there’s always a guideline but a management prerogative and subject to change for you department request.
