Emergency Medical Technician – Basic Training

The course is designed to enhance knowledge, skills, as well as attitude of EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN in accordance with the medical industry standards.

At the end of the course, proficiencies will be achieved to perform the following:

(1) Basic Life Support
(2) Maintain life support equipment and resources
(3) Implement safe access and extrication procedure in an emergency
(4) Manage request for ambulance service
(5) Allocate ambulance service resources, coordinate resources
(6) Deliver basic ambulance communication skills
(7) Supervise on-road operation
(8) Manage the scene of an emergency
(9) Manage the scene of a special event
(10) Manage routine scene
(11) Deliver pre-hospital patient care
(12) Deliver intensive pre-hospital patient care
(13) Manage ambulance operations
(14) Transport emergency and non-emergency patients

The Duration of the Course:

The course is a total of 960 hours including on-the-job training at reputable EMS stations. However, we recognized prior learning. (Please contact the training center for clarification)

These covers lectures, workshops and on the job trainings.

Training Methodology:

The delivery of training adheres to the design of TESDA (Technical Educational Skills and Development Authority) curricula and guided by the 10 Basic Principles of Competency Based TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training).

The training is based on curriculum developed from the competency standards.
Learning is modular in its structure.
Training delivery is individualized and self-paced.
Training is based on work that must be performed.
Training materials are directly related to the competency standards and the curriculum modules.
Assessment is based on work that must be performed.
Training is based on both on and off-the-job components.
Allows for recognition of prior learning (RPL) or current competencies.
Training allows for multiple entry and exit; and
Approved training programs are nationally accredited.

This training is highly participatory. Multimedia equipment will be used in the conduct of the course such as LCD Television, DVD player, LCD projector, Laptop computers, Airway and OB manikins and the like.

Our Instructors / Facilitators:

Our Trainers are Masters Degree holders, graduates of different allied Medical Courses and holders of National Certifications from TESDA on different programs.

They have attended various trainings from credible organizations such as Philippine Heart Association, American Heart Association (Singapore and Hongkong), Philippine Heart Center, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and National Society for Earthquake Technology (NSET) through the Program of Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER).

These Trainers are both from the academe and has wide experience in healthcare services.

Training Requirement:

Before the start of the training participants who wished to attend the said course should comply / submit the following:

Transcript of Record (If you have attended college level)
Previous Basic First Aid and BLS Certificate
Medical Certificate
Drivers License (at least Students)
4 pcs 2X2 Picture with name

Training Package:

The registration fee is Twenty Thousand Pesos only (Php 25,000.00) inclusive of the following:
