Crystal Oldman is Dean in the Faculty of Society & Health at Buckinghamshire New University. She is a registered Nurse, a Health Visitor (public health specialist nurse) and an active researcher. Before entering academia, she spent 12 years working with some of the most …deprived communities in London and remains passionate about child health and older people’s care – the two biggest challenges for public health in the UK.

The presentation will include an exploration of the current health issues in the UK and the changing demographics of the UK population, including the increasingly older profile of people living in the community, which presents challenges and opportunities for nursing care.

Crystal will also highlight the opportunities available at the University for nurses wishing to explore international education.
