Open to all clinicians (RNs, PTs, OTs, MDs, Nutritionists, Dietitians) and student counterparts.

Introduction:
The 1st Philippine National Symposium on Wound Management is the first of its kind in the Philippines. This will be a gathering of experts in the field of wound management both in the medical and allied-medical fields. Wound care is a growing field all over the world as evidenced by the increase in specialized dressings available in the market
today. Most of the major wound dressing manufacturers have expanded their business to countries in Asia, including the Philippines. Thus, this symposium will give the latest and most current information on
wound care and provide evidence-based information regarding this growing field.

The 1st Philippine National Symposium on Wound Management is a 2-day event. There will be a main conference and a concurrent session. The main conference, as outlined below, will feature various speakers in their respective fields of specialization. The concurrent session which is the Basic Wound Care Course: A Practice-Based Overview is a continuing education course approved for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in 7 states in the US namely CA, IL, WI, MD, NJ, NV and AZ. It is also approved for nurses in CA.

Objectives:
1. Identify the status of wound care education in the Philippines
2. Identify the status of clinical wound care practice in the Philippines
3. Educate and update Filipino clinicians on the latest trends in Wound Care
4. Provide evidence-based information regarding wound care research
5. Provide an event that will foster professional exchange of ideas and experiences in wound management

Pre-Registration Fees (rates apply to attendees who will register online by April 29, 2011):
