The National Patient Safety Goals orientation modules introduces the nurse and other healthcare professionals to international guidelines for Patient Safety and Management based on the recommendations of the Joint Commission on accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHC) (JC).
These modules will provide the healthcare providers with international standard in performing age-specific assessment skills that will complement the major growth and development characteristics and milestones of newborns, pediatrics and adults. As healthcare professionals, conducting the physical examination and assessment skills must be customized according to the developmental level of the individual. Each section describes various nursing considerations to keep in mind when dealing with each developmental level.
