as i’ve heard, there will be 2nd batch of RN heals this august(and i’m waiting for this, kasi gusto ko talagang mg work as a nurse)….sana nman totoo to, kasi marami talaga ang na dissapoint nung sa 1st batch (at isa na ako nun)…nanghihinayang ako nung sa 1st batch kasi hinde nman tlaga clear yung mga instructions ng DOLE ehhh…..i do hope, there will be a such thing for us nurses who wants to have work in line with our profession….not just volunteering, but to us have paid kasi mahal ang binayad ng ating mga magulang pra lng mka tapos ng nursing…..

tama palakasan nga!!! nung nagaply ako sa first batch e harap harapan ineendorse nung isang employee ata ng dole un ung anak nya sa isang nagiinterview.. oh d ba??? san ka pa, tsk hirap talaga magnurse ngayon dapat may backer ka para makapasok.. hopefully maging successful ung application sa batch 2… sure ba ung sept 2? thanks..
21 August 2011 — The government is planning to hire an estimated 12,500 nurses for new nursing positions this year, a work in progress that aims to cut the surplus of nursing graduates in the Philippines, Senator Franklin Drilon said Sunday.
Drilon, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, bared that Budget Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad has given the go signal to grant Health Secretary Enrique Ona an authorization to hire an additional 10,000-12,500 nursing professionals in the government workforce.
“We agreed that between now and the end of the year, the Department of Health should be given an authorization to hire 10,000-12,500 nurses,” Drilon said in a radio interview,
This, despite the Health department’s admission during the agency’s budget hearing that there are currently 287,000 nursing graduates who are either unemployed or underemployed. Over the weekend, it was announced that another 37,513 examinees passed the Nurse Licensure Examination administered in July.
During the Finance committee’s hearing, it was discovered that the Budget department disallowed the hiring of an additional 4,000 in the DoH workforce due to a ban on hiring of administrative positions, apparently due to the discrepancy with the way the Department of Budget and Management interpreted administrative posts.
Drilon said that there is glaring deficiency of nursing staff in state hospitals, compounded by the fact that the allowed staffing pattern is not actually filled up particulary in regional government hospitals.
“This is good news… I am glad that our health system will be given a temporary relief due to the hiring of additional nurses,” Drilon added.
Drilon said they will study the proposed budget for next year to determine how many new nursing positions will be made available.

DOH’s RN HEALS to hire the next batch of 10,000 nurses

MANILA, August 28, 2011 – Due to the success of the first batch of RN HEALS, Department of Health Secretary Enrique Ona promulgated that the governments plans to hire 10,000 registered nurses for the second batch of RN HEALS that will served the local community.
RN HEALS stands for Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement And Local Service. It is a project of Department of Health in collaboration with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that seeks to make essential health services available to all Filipinos by training and deploying 10,000 unemployed nurses in the communities.
The programs also aims to address the shortage of skilled and experienced nurses in 1,221 rural and unserved or underserved communities for one year. The next batch of nurses will be 27% of the total nurses who recently passed the Nursing licensure examination.
The nurses deployed on respective communities will be given and allowance of 8,000 monthly to be given by the Department of Health while the Local Government Unit where the nurses are assigned will ensure the nurses’ safety and security and is also encouraged to provide additional benefits or allowance worth 2,000.

i guess yung may mga kakilala lang sa dole ang makakaalam nyang 2nd batch na yan.hay nako.sana wag ng ibargain ang nurses sa pinas.pareho lang naman ang hirap ng staff nurse at yung volunteer pero hindi ko maintindihan bakit hinahayaan ito ng govt natin!
sure ako na ung application for second batch will be announced on tv, newspaper and doh website just like the first batch.. just be patient and optimistic.. nakasama ako sa 1st batch, ako at ang mga kasama ko sa area namin pare pareho namang walang backer.. so blessed at nakasama talaga kami..

Although meron nang news na lumabas for the 2nd batch of rnheals, wala pa pong advisory from our central office kung kelan mag-iistart ang recruitment/application. All you have to do is to check the rnheals official website at http://rnheals.dole.gov.ph
kapag offline, it only means na hindi pa talaga start ang application…

Tips for RNHEALS Application:
1. Apply promptly. Time of application is one of the major basis in selection. Early applicants are the most priorities.
2. Be sure to put your residing municipality in the preferred area of assignment. If your municipality is not in the CCT Areas, select your neighboring municipality as preferred area of assignment.
3. Be sure you are a PRC Card Holder.

I’ve been a trainee for more than a year in a government hospital and hoping this time I will be earning from the profession I chose.
Nagstart ang hiring ng RN HEALS last Oct 22, ended Nov 4. No clear announcements during that period, pero nakapagpasa kami ng resume sa RITM by accident, akala namin staff vacancy paglabas namin RN HEALS pala. As of now may nagtex na bumalik daw for the examination this week, hmmm mukhang iba na process nung last batch wala atang examination.

tapos na ang exam guys. d ako nakuha. sabi nila may ibang rn heals daw ngayong february. i think purely communities kasi ds november batch purely hospital duty lng talaga, no chn. kaya priority ang mga volunteers kasi wala ng volunteers sa hospital. so abangan nlng natin kong totoo ba talaga yang february batch.

Nagtanong ako noon sa DOLE about this RN HEALS noong Oct. and sabi nila wala pa daw yung RN HEALS 2, maghintay na lang daw sa announcement dahil i-aanounce daw nila sa television! tapos malalaman ko na lang tapos na yung application!
