ANNOUNCEMENT (April 12, 2011)
Update from nildaRN
The Cardio-Renal and Cardio-Pulmo Nurse Training Programs at HEART Foundation-Philippine Heart Center was POSTPONED INDEFINITELY.
The following is an excerpt from the e-mail sent by HEART Foundation on April 7, 2011:
“We thank you for being one of those who believe in our commitment to advance the cause of nursing and allied professions in cooperation with the Philippine Heart Center (PHC) through the holding of post graduate seminars and trainings using the facilities of the Hospital.
However, as of late, we were informed that PHC, being a government hospital, has other equally important missions requiring that would require the use of the same facilities where the Foundation holds its seminars and trainings that would result in possible overlapping of the use thereof.
It is in view thereof that we were left with no option but to postpone indefinitely the cardio-renal and cardio-pulmonary training for nurses which should have otherwise started on May 9, 2011 until we could find an equally conducive venue for the purpose.”

@CLara – not necessarily.
mam rona, to be able to enroll po ba in this training kailangan po bang i have a precious training po of BLS, ECG and ACLS? or i can just avail of this training para all in one na po siya? Newly grad lang po kasi ako this 2010 and I still dont have any training na na-acquire. thank you so much po.
@nicole – the description says that you will undergo all the trainings that you mentioned. No need to have previous training of those. Maganda nga siya kasi all-in para di ka na maghahanap ng ibang schedule ng ECG and ACLS after mo mag BLS.
@danica – didn’t train for it.
I attended CPN last year and I must say the money you’ve spent is worth it. To answer some of your questions… What I brought for the requirements are the downpayment of 5k, pictures, and photocopy of my license. That’s it. I finished the program but wasn’t able to give the resume but it’s okay. Lol. The resume is basically for screening and reference only. But the three I’ve mentioned would suffice. Regarding adding CPN to your name, we’re asking that as well and sad to say we’re not sure. There’s some rumors that there’s an exam before you could place CPN just like RN after your name. I’ve tried searching in the net with no clue.
And the exp and learning was enjoyable. Also the food
The lecturers are more the qualified to teach and you won’t able to proceed to the next lesson/activity if you didn’t pass the first. Just to show they’re not wasting your money. It’s really a quality education for nurses and I highly recommend it.
Yun lang. Postponed pala
hi mam rona, are these updated schedules of training for 2011? tnx
@kat – for the Cardio-Pulmonary Nurse Training Program?
Hi Ms. Rona,
I am particularly interested in this training course. However, I am returning to the Philippines only for vacation from 17april until 16may. I’m not sure if there would be any reconsideration, but maybe you could advise me on any alternative option that is somewhat related to this course? Kindly advise. Thank you very much.
@Jill – you may check the compiled training and seminars for the month of April and May in the upper right side of the site. Check the schedule if there will be any training that you can squeeze in during your vacation. Best of luck to you!
hi rona
@Anonymous – hello Anonymous
good day! ask ko lang po sana if i could undergo the training even if i don’t have a license yet. just passed the dec 2010 board exams. i really want to undergo the CPN training po.
@Naomi – PRC License is required and some hospitals will accept just the claim stub.
i am so glad i stumbled into you online. i commend you for the dedication and patience i glean from the inquiries and your reply to the seemingly innocuous questions but are really a lifeline to us newbies in the nursing profession. thank you.
am wondering what might be the rationale for the resume requirement by the phil heart assoc for those interested in the cardio-pulmo program.
@cee – thank you too for the feedback. I am not in the position to answer why PHC requires a resume to be submitted for their Cardio-Pulmonary training program — one of the possible reasons that I can think of though is because they want to know if you have worked in institutions that could be of any factor in their training. that’s just a wild guess — totally unreliable.
do the cardio-renal and cardio-pulmo nurse training programs earn a nurse cpe units?
@cee – i have been researching on this one. I have yet to see or find out if there will be CPE units earned in this training program.
Gooday,i am really interested with the course.How to register, and how much?im her in cebu but im willing to go in manila to take the course. pls response

@jay rams – please call HEART Foundation to inquire if slots are still available.

@jay rams – no idea.
@joshua – wala eh. none that I know of.
Thanks in advance.. godbless
Both are nursing specialties and if you want to include them in your title, which is RN, you can train for them and get a certification.
I see. kindly give me their numbers so that i can contact them and ask for further questions.
I remember pala ma’am, i saw a training posted in PNA board same din sila ng traning Critical care traning kaso ang nakita ko 5 days lang ang trainig. pareho lang po ba sila?
Ms.Rona Thank you very much
