Each IVT Refresher Course consists of 8 hours of didactic sessions on topics such as the following:
- Blood and Blood Components Transfusion Therapy
- Intravenous Chemotherapy
- Understanding Parenteral Drug Interaction
- Prevention of Nosocomial Intravascular Infection Related to IV Therapy
- Fluids and Electrolytes for Nurses
- Venipuncture: An Art for IV Therapists
- Managing Pitfalls/IV Related Complications
- Documentation in IV Therapy
- Total Parenteral Nutrition
- Ethico Legal Issues of IV Therapy
- Dosage and Solutions Competency Review
Each IVT Refresher Course gives participants 8 CEUs (continuing education units). Completion of 24 CEUs (8 x 3) qualifies nurses to renew their IVT cards.

1. current PRC license card
2. ANSAP IVT license card (expiring in 2010 onwards)

hello, hirap nman po tmwag sa aesculap. 6337284,i try to call several times parating hinahang.. kung hndi man may sasagot tpos ipapasa ako then mg hang din tpos kpag tmwag ulit ako busy na.. my concern is i need to renew my ivt and madami ako inquiries hope makapag provide kyo ng number na may sasagot sa concerns nmin. maybe yung iba din trying to call pero same sa akin walang sumasagot.
@rei – my hands are tied just like you. as of this writing, this is the only number that I have and the only number that they provide in their official website. I will try to look for a working number though. If they have one.

@Marvin – not sure about this but it seems like that you have to attend the whole 3 day course. If you would try to pre-register, the options of dates are on a 3-day basis. i just want to ask regarding my iv license. it was expired last 2007. do i need to undergo iv training or refresher course? thanks

yours is 2007, mine is 2010. frustrating part is we need to undergo basic IVT again.
hi gudpm. my IVT license will expire on april 2011. if i wasn’t able to attend refresher course before the said month, can i attend it on the month after april. is still valid for me to attend refresher course or do i need to have training again. thanks

mam rona ask ko lang po kung kelan start ng iv training sa Los Baños Doctors Hospital sa laguna? kakapasa ko lang kasi ng board exam batch dec 2010 after ko sana magpa-register gusto ko mag iv-training muna para may background me. may suggest po ba kayong ibang hospital dito laguna na may ansap accredited for iv training and what po sked nila? tnx..

@emily – the most obvious thing that you should do is go to ANSAP and request for a replacement.
hi mam rona sana masagot mo agad ang tanong ko. March 29, 2011 ang expiry ko. magstart nako magwork sa hospital pero wala pa ko update or refresher course. magagamit ko pa kaya yung license ko beyond march 29, 2011?

Please be informed that due to the concerns on the conduction of IV Therapy please take note of the following advisories:
1. All expired IVT Cards are advised to be renewed even without undergoing the 3day Basic IV Therapy Training. However, all are mandated to undergo the 24units/ceu IV updates not later than December 31, 2011.
2. The requirement for the two (2) Blood and Blood Administration is now downgraded from 3+3+2 to 3+3+1.
3. ANSAP is now allowing participants to have their completion in any IV Provider Hospital.
4. Expired IVT Providers are required to renew their Registration Certificate until December 31, 2011.
5. For those IV Providers who have submitted their requirements for completion and have not been issued IVT Cards, please bear with us for the inconvenience because we are on the process of streamlining our office management.

This is about my concerns almost 10 yrs ago wherein my IVT got expired and lost also my IVT Card..am i entitled for this provision. i’m working as OFW. Ty so much.
