it sucks to be a nurse here in the Philippines. I love nursing but now, nagsisisi na ko nagnurse ako. even though you passed the boards with flying colors, not worth it dahil d naman nila tinitignan ung rating mo but the people you know.
I wont allow myself to be exploited.
I never thought to be a nurse before. Si Inay kasi eh. jejej. Mapilit. I know it is not my dream job and to make matters worse, after passing the board, I never found a job. Volunteering is the only way to get a clinical experience. Though I can become a staff nurse with recommendation from a known person, I did not use that because I want to be recognized as the Nurse who is good at her job not a Nurse who is good being a suck-up.
Kahit papaano when i volunteered last 2007 wala pa “Fee” sa B***C and those I worked with treated me like one of them. A Staff Nurse but no compensation. They didn’t treat me like a slave. I enjoyed my stay there very much. They are not fully under the main hospital kasi so they can act independently. Tnx UFC.
Just came back from Saudi. Just a month and I am dying to go back there how much more since it’s already 5 months. Can’t wait to go back.
For us nurses, working in our own country is close to impossible. Our only chance of enjoying being a nurse and enjoying our compensation is going abroad.
very complicated talaga. when i passed the board i was very happy kase i thought that it will be easy for me to hired.unfortunately….i ended up working as a hotel receptionist for the past 6 months after passing the board
kase i have to earned money for the sake of the whole family who depends on me.i never worked as volunteer nurse because i don’t have money to pay the fees involved.and where can i get my daily allowances and how can i support my father who is suffering from disease
ang mahal magaral ng nursing tapos ginaganito lng nila ang isang nurse. daming standards daming exams daming requirements na very expensive, but it seems that in this country useless lahat dahil mga nurse dito kawawa.
And also to senator Loren Legarda.
hay naku. hirap maging nurse mas pinapahirapan pa nila. Maawa naman po kayo sa amin.
“where just reenacting what the Lord did to his people, addressing the needs of the needy, helping in their recovery and improving them holistically”.
Thanks for those people who sympathize and empathize with us as a NURSE.
