NARS Project is Now Accepting Second Batch Applicants
The Nurse Assigned in Rural Service (NARS) Project is now accepting online registration for its second batch of applicants. Those who are already registered but not yet shortlisted in the first batch will be automatically considered in the selection process for the second batch.

These are the requirements to qualify for the NARS Project training:
- With valid nurse license issued by the PRC
- Not over 35 years old
- Resident of the identified municipalities
- No nursing-related practice for the past 3 years
Note: Nurse applicants who are dependents of workers affected by the Global Crisis based on the list provided by the DOLE Regional office shall be given priority in the selection.

Jay and Josephine, as of today, the shortlisted applicants for the second batch is not yet posted on the official NARS website. As soon as it is out, I will post it here. The official website should edit their link that says “View complete listing of shortlisted applicants” cause it’s misleading. As far as I know, it is the list of just of those who are in the first batch. Have you guys tried checking the status of your application through these links? http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph/status.aspx and http://www.nars.dole.gov.ph/selected.aspx I tried checking your names out in there but the results turned out with nothing.

@alice: Refer to this line in the post above–”Those who are already registered but not yet shortlisted in the first batch will be automatically considered in the selection process for the second batch.” I guess it depends if the quota has been reached AFTER considering those who have already registered for the first batch.
open pa kaya application para sa second batch? last time kasi na tumawag ako sa DOLE laguna hindi daw alam nung nakasagot sakin sa phone. Okey lang kaya kahit wala pa ako license kasi sabi sa PRC pag 21 years old naraw ako saka pa irerelease ang license eh 20 palang ako next month.

Hi Josephine. Honestly, I have no idea either. I keep on checking it everyday but so far, they haven’t updated the list yet. Have you tried calling DOLE?

hello.. I passed the june 2009 exam and I tried to send my application last August. The DOLE called me this september telling that I was chosen to join the second batch. Sure na po ba na pasok talaga ako? Pumunta na po ako sa DOLE office dito sa place namin pero wala yung mag-iinterview sa akin so I just passed the requirements, they will just call me na lang po if may kulang pa sa mga pinasa ko. thanks

Hi guys. As of the moment, no news if there will be a 3rd batch for the NARS project. As soon as DOLE makes an announcement, I’ll post the details right away. In any case, all the information is in the official DOLE-NARS website which I already have put in this post.

It’s very likely nga naman na magkakaroon pa ng third batch kasi successful ang NARS project. Ang daming nag-aapply at marami pang madadagdag lalo na may iniintay na board exam result. Where you able to join the NARS program?

@shieryl mae – sa pagkakaalam ko, kapag nakapasa ka na sa 2nd batch, di na kailangan na mag apply ulit. kasama ka na sa shortlist. kapag kasama ka na sa shortlist, ang ibig sabihin nun, nakalista ka na para sa 3rd batch. Yun ay kung mayroong 3rd batch ang NARS project.
@mahera @vahn1013 @grace – hindi ko pa naririnig o nababasa ang official announcement na may 3rd batch ang NARS project. Pero sabi nga ni lj: “Naibalita kasi sa local news that there will be a third batch so we we’re hoping na meron talaga.” So hanggang hindi pa in-announce sa official website ng NARS Project ang 3rd batch, hindi rin ako sigurado.

@france @rhine – there’s still no official statement from DOLE if there will be or there will not be a 3rd batch of their NARS program. As much as I want to say there is, I can’t. We can only hope at this moment.

Philippine government! Please spare some budget for Dole NARS project to continually operate. Have mercy on thousands of unemployed registered nurses and yet still increasing….. Just being a volunteer nurse and required to pay for affiliation fees is quite unfair and discouraging…Please do consider! Filipino nurses are for Filipino people…..
I red target po ng DOLE 10000 nurses 5thousand per batch.. e 2 batches na poi yun natapos so baka gang 2nd batch lang tlga.. pero i Hope may third batch pa tlga.. coz im 1 of the hopeful na mkasali.. pls maawa nmn kau sa 400,000 nurses na unemployed..

most likely wala na talaga. i check their website regularly pero wala pa ring bagong updates. huhuhu sayang. it was a big help for all those who couldn’t volunteer sa mga hospitals and are unemployed pa.
