@U.S. Citizen - does NCSBN require that you should be an RN in the Philippines (passed the PRC's NLE) to be able to take the NCLEX-RN? The last time I checked, (please correct me if I am gravely wrong about this) no, they do not require that you passed the NLE. A BSN degree would suffice.

I am a U.S. citizen who just graduated with a BSN degree here in the Philippines. I need to take the local Philippine board exam in order for me to return to the U.S. and take the NCLEX. BUT, I asked the PRC if I'm allowed to take the local board of the Philippines and they told me, "No, you must be a Filipino citizen." Is this true? Did I take four years of nursing in the Philippines only to find out that I'm not eligible to take the nursing board exam?
